Please make sure you fill your water bottles prior to arriving at the course each round. There will not be water available throughout the course. Please stay hydrated and do not take a risk of playing if you do not feel 100% healthy. If you find that a competitor/bystander is in an emergency situation, please call 911 first. Once the paramedics have been notified, please notify any staff so we can assist where/when we can. We have seen bad situations get worse in a matter of minutes and we will do anything possible to keep that from happening. PDGA DIGITAL SCORECARD FOR THE 30TH ANNUAL OKIE DOUBLES

We will be using digital scorecards for this event. if you would like to review and research this method, please follow this link: https://www.pdga.com/help/tournament-management/official-hole-scoring

The ACCESS CODE for the event scoring is OKCDGA. It is not case sensitive. To start your round with digital scoring you will need to go to the following link: www.pdga.com/score.

1. You will be prompted to enter the Access Code and press the Submit button.

2. Search for the last name of one of your team members. Once you and your partner's last name appears, you select it and confirm. This team is now the “scorekeeper”.

3. You will be prompted to select the round for which you are currently playing.

4. The scoring screen will load with your name. The default starting hole is hole 1, so be sure to choose the correct starting hole if for some reason hole 1 is not where the group is starting (e.g. shotgun start).

5. Scores for each player will automatically default to whatever the par is set for the hole that is being scored. The player can use the plus or minus buttons to add or remove strokes. When all players have the correct scores, clicking Save & Continue will upload the scores and the page will automatically reload on the hole that follows.

6. The teeing order is indicated by a number presented to the left of each player's name.

WE WILL NOT USE PAPER SCORECARDS

Please make sure you review the link provided to familiarize yourself with the PDGA digital scorecard. As a competitor you are responsible for knowing the competition rules of disc golf for a better player experience. Players are encouraged to ask any and all questions before start of play. We know there will always be questions. I promise to answer those questions as quickly and efficiently as possible. Feel free to reach out to me with any concerns or issues you may have. Players who are not signed in to the digital scoring portal are encouraged to keep score on UDisc or any other scoring app as a backup. We will not hand out physical scorecards. The PDGA scoring portal is efficient, tracks stats, and allows you to check on other scores throughout the field as you play. It is AWESOME!!! Don't fight the change, embrace it.

PLAYERS:

It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the rules of disc golf and the competition manual. Do not solely rely on other competitors or tournament staff to tell you what is legal and what is not. If you run into issues on the course, knowing how to proceed will keep you out of unwanted circumstances in most cases. If you are not sure how to play a certain hole, lie, etc., please exercise your right to declare a provisional shot. Links to the full rules are below.

Format by Round
Round 1:Best Shot
Round 2:Worst Drive, then best shot
Round 3:Best Score
Round 4:Alternate Shot

Format Rules:

Best Shot: Each player throws off the tee. Your team picks the best lie to throw from next. Repeat until hole is completed.

Worst Drive: Each player throws off the tee. Opponent teams on your card pick your lie from the resulting set of drives. Once the second throw has been made by both players, BEST SHOT Rules apply until hole is completed.

Best Score: Each player must complete each hole as if they were playing singles. Record your team member's Score that was lowest as the score for your team.

Alternate Shot: BEFORE THE START OF YOUR ROUND, choose which team member will throw first. Each team member will alternate throws until the completion of the ROUND.
Example:
– Player 1 throws from the first tee
– Player 2 will then throw from the resulting lie
– Player 1 completes the hole by making their putt
– Player 2 will throw from the second tee...
This pattern repeats until the completion of the round. The only question you need to ask yourselves is which player will start the round.
